Emily Marx is an actor, singer, and dancer currently pursuing her BFA in Musical Theatre at Ithaca College. A dynamic performer with a rock ’n’ roll soul, Emily grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, fronting her classic rock band and performing at venues such as Smith’s Olde Bar, the Atlanta Jewish Music Festival, and the Cumming Georgia Fair and Festival, along with weddings and private events.
Her theatre credits include Susan in Tick, Tick… Boom!, Little Women, Newsies—for which she received a Jimmy Awards nomination and Shuler Award win—and worked as a swing covering featured roles in Flashpoint: The Dance Concert. At Ithaca College, she also starred in several thesis films through the Park School of Communications, highlighting her growing presence both on stage and on screen.
Emily made her Broadway debut at the 2023 Jimmy Awards (National High School Musical Theatre Awards), representing Georgia as a Best Leading Actress nominee. Her honors also include 1st Place in Comedic Interpretation competitions and 1st Place Band (North Main) at the Atlanta Jewish Music Festival.
An accomplished musician, Emily plays guitar (advanced), saxophone (intermediate), and piano (beginner), and draws inspiration from classic rock, jazz, singer-songwriter, and musical theatre traditions. Beyond the arts, she’s a lifelong athlete, having competed in travel softball (Southeast Nationals), basketball, track & field, gymnastics, and tumbling.
Emily continues to refine her craft through extensive training in voice, acting, and dance, blending her rich musical roots with a deep passion for authentic storytelling on stage and screen.
